Sri Lanka has several fantastic scuba diving spots along its west and south coasts, as well as some in Trincomalee in the north-east. From mysterious shipwrecks and distinctive rock formations to a variety of marine life, including numerous species of brightly-coloured tropical fish, eels, marine turtles and sting rays, exploring the island’s underwater world is highly rewarding.
Under Water Safaris is a PADI certified diving centre that offers you a wide variety of scuba diving and snorkeling activities. No matter if you are a certified diver, beginner or just enjoy snorkeling, our experienced and service minded staff will let you experience the best under water sites of Trincomalee. We simply love diving.The diving season runs from, west side of island, and from April to October in Trincomalee – north-east part. During all year diving takes place seven days a week. Our professional Dive Masters take you on a two-dive day trip or single dives in the morning and afternoon. Each day the schedule is posted at the diving centre. All dives have a guide who will brief you and show the highlights of each site. Most dives are multilevel to extend your bottom time safely. Sri Lanka’s reefs are amongst the richest in the world and are home to amazing hard and soft coral, sea fans and a kaleidoscope of tropical fish. Under Water Safaris Sites offer a wide variety of underwater environments.
Discover Scuba Diving program consists of a briefing and 2 try-dives. The first dive is in shallow water within our home reef where you will be trained in basic underwater skills. On the second dive we take you to Coral Garden Rocks where you can dive up to 12m deep, all with a trained PADI instructor. With this programme you can begin on the path to the Open water course.

Poseidon Diving Station offers this program from the beach and from a dive boat. You can try while you are on vacation in Sri Lanka. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to the underwater world.
To join the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
